For pain issues, either massage therapy or acupuncture can be incredibly valuable. Ultimately, it really depends on the type of approach you’re after although this can be influenced somewhat by your medical circumstance as well. For instance, if you have a distaste for needles, then massage therapy is probably a better option for you (even though the needles used in acupuncture are hair thin and do not typically produce much in the way of discomfort upon entry into body). But if you have an injury in a very localized area of the body (i.e. sporting injury such as a partially torn ACL) then acupuncture may be a better fit to get you up and running again.
